Veronica Lizakowska and Claudia Kazimierzka showed at the Stade de France on Thursday that they are fully prepared for the Paris Olympics.

Both Poles broke their personal records. And Liza Koska didn’t even defeat him, she just crushed him. It’s a shame she didn’t win an award for it.

TVP reporter reports to us. “Did you see that?!”

-Have you seen it? Did you see what that girl did? – Aleksander Dzięciołowski was very excited to see me and two other journalists from Poland in the press office. – I’m very sorry that she didn’t make it to the finals. She cried at my house and said she was not happy about the record at all – added the TVP reporter.

Yes, Liza Koska was not happy at all. But she did a great thing. The 26-year-old runner came to the Olympics with a personal record of 4 minutes 03.15 seconds and achieved a good time of 3 minutes 57.31 seconds in the semi-finals, which means she improved by nearly six seconds!

Lizakovska’s result was also much better than the previous Polish record. 24 years ago in 2000, Lidia Chojecka ran 1500 meters in 3 minutes 59.22 seconds.

Unfortunately, despite reaching the semi-finals for the seventh time, there was no place for Lizakoska in the 12-man final. This is because players 1-6 from both semi-finals have advanced to the finals. Liza Koska finished seventh in her series. She will go down in history as the athlete with the best performance, which prevented her from qualifying for the Olympic finals.

– So close to the final. The worst part is that there is nothing I can do. I’m sorry, I’m unhappy─Lizakoska said with tears in her eyes. – I pray for Claudia. Let him win medals, let him break my Polish record – he added.

Kazimierzka finished fifth in the competition. She also set a new personal record with a time of 4:00.21. – I’m glad I got to do another run here. My time was under four minutes, so maybe I could make it to the finals. “I want to show that Polish middle-distance running is at a good level,” Kazimierzka said.

He didn’t talk about medals. He is almost certainly out of reach. But we’re counting on this fight, that’s for sure! The final is scheduled for Saturday at 8:15 p.m.
