Pakistan Super League (PSL) five play-off stage will start today from Karachi after 8 months.
In the Pakistan Super League, the teams of Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings will face each other in the first qualifier at 3 pm, while the teams of Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi will face each other in the element one at 8 pm.
The preparations of all the teams are complete. Among the foreign players of Multan Sultans are English cricketers Rhythm Leith, Joy Denly and Ravi Bopara, while South African Star League spinner Imran Tahir and PSL 5 century McRaely Russo.
Apart from them, Multan Sultans have the services of Shahid Afridi along with captain Shan Masood and Mohammad Irfan among the local players.
Legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram has been handed over as the head coach of Karachi Kings after the death of Sir Dean Jones.
The foreign players of Karachi Kings include English star cricketer Alex Hales, South African players Cameron Delport and Wayne Parnell, and West Indian players Chadwick Walton and Rutherford.
Among the local players, Pakistan team captain Babar Azam, Imad Wasim and star fast bowler Muhammad Amir have been hired.
Apart from star Australian cricketer Ben Dunk, Bangladesh’s Tamim Iqbal, South African players David Wiese and Dan Velas and English cricketer Samit Patel are among the foreign players of Lahore Qalandz.
Among the foreign players of Peshawar Zalmi, West Indian cricketer Carlos Brathwaite, South African cricketer Raffae Du Plessis and fast bowler Hordes Valjoin and English bowler Saqib Mahmood have been included.
In the second match scheduled on Saturday, the teams of Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi will compete in Elementor 1, while the loser of the qualifier will play against the winner of Elementor 1 in Elementor 2 on Sunday.
In total, 4 matches will be played in Karachi while the final of Pakistan Super League season five will be played on November 17.
