A selection reduced to four names in September

« The current season has already allowed us to see our players evolve during certain major events such as the French Championships, the International de Palavas, the International d’Espalion… These events have led us to preselect eight girls in view of the World Championships where the French team will be made up of four athletes in November »explains David Le Dantec, head of the Collectif France Féminin. « Thanks to the work carried out for several years, we have a quality France Women collective and therefore many possibilities to define the formation which will defend the colors of France at the end of the year. Obviously, it is the results of the players as well as their profile which guided this preselection at the end of this first part of the season. »

For the FFPJP, “This announcement allows, on the one hand, to create an emulation that we hope will be productive within the group of pre-selected candidates and to increase their motivation tenfold for the competitions to come. And on the other hand, to highlight the French women’s team and therefore the Women’s Pétanque as the FFPJP wishes “ The final team will be announced following the World Championships in Benin which are held in September.
