After the match with Spartak Moscow, the football player of the Samara club Krylya Sovetov went live on Match TV in a T-shirt with the inscription “Freedom to Nikolai Larin”.
In this way, the team players expressed their support to the ex-director of the Chertanovo football academy Nikolai Larin, who is accused of fraud.
Previously, the players of “Wings of the Soviets” have already put on such T-shirts as a sign of Larin’s support. This happened on May 21 following the match with Lokomotiv.
The fact is that several students of the football academy play for the Samara team, and the current head coach of Krylia Igor Osinkin held a similar position at the Chertanovo club from 2016 to 2020.
According to the documents obtained by Match TV, “Larin and other unidentified persons overestimated the amount of budget funding for the implementation of the state task by providing a deliberately incorrect recruitment plan.” According to investigators, the funds allocated by the Moscow budget for the training of athletes who were not actually at school were used at their own discretion. Law enforcement officers also have questions to a large group of employees of the academy regarding salaries.
