The Players Championship Finals 2023 have been running since Friday, the three weeks before the start of the 2024 Darts World Cup (from December 15th LIVE on SPORT1) represent a final location determination. 64 players will battle it out over three days at Minehead’s Butlins Resort for the title and prize money of £120,000.
The field of participants is made up of the top 64 of the Players Championship Order of Merit, i.e. the players who were able to win the most prize money at the 30 Players Championship events this year.
Peter Wright and Nathan Aspinall were not even qualified for the major tournament. The two experienced darts professionals were unable to collect enough prize money to take part.
