The player who will make us click on the Hawks: Trae Young

If a bunch of players in Atlanta might make us want to click this season, we wanted to focus on the one who might get into our hearts very quickly and push us to watch Hawk from October. Ladies and gentlemen, here’s your daily dose of Trae Young.

Some think he’s weaker than Ja Morant because he doesn’t dunk. Some think he’s weaker than Devin Booker because he doesn’t have his mid-range game. But Trae Young is a confident man. He knows he’s stronger than those two, stronger than many, than most, and every year he reminds us why. Last season was his best from an individual point of view: 28.4 points (fourth in the League) and 9.7 assists (third), the very very top of the basket. A very heavy basket by the way, in which he had to carry all his teammates all year, he who is the only one to get out of scoring in this Hawks team. And then Trae Young, it’s not just stats: handles that envy nothing to anyone, tricks of which he alone has the secret, shoots from the parking lot or even further, passes behind the back and between the legs at the same time, we know the animal and its ability to get us out of the highlights by the shovel.

So if we know all that, why need to remember that it’s Trae Young who will make us click on the Hawks this year? Already, because he has haters. Lots of haters. It is perhaps the young star who has the most in the League. Well, his foul-seeking style of play and his somewhat exacerbated flopping aren’t helping him. But still, that shouldn’t prevent you from liking what you see every night. So we would like to convince those who are still resisting. And then, this year, it may finally be his. He finally has backup, a backcourt partner who can relieve him in offensive tasks and take over defensive tasks.. Indeed Dejounte Murray has just signed for the Hawks, and it was perhaps the missing piece in Atlanta, to go far in the Playoffs and show everyone that Trae is not just a beautiful game. Obviously, we will click for highlights. But if the highlights also win, even the haters will end up clicking.

A little reminder for those who have forgotten: the NBA is Trae Young’s playground, and watching him every night can only be a good idea. And if on top of that he starts winning, there really won’t be any more excuses.
