The Bible is now available on Steam, and you can even “platinum” it. We never thought we would one day be able to utter this sentence, but it is nevertheless the case. This Tuesday, November 15, it arrives on the Valve platform.
Halfway between game and narrative experience, The Bible, developed by the independent studio Bible Games, offers users the opportunity to (re)discover the literary work in the form of an audio book, with an original soundtrack. But, what is it a game and what does The Bible on Steam ?
A quiz mode to test knowledge
If we can affirm that it is indeed a game, it is because The Bible contains a quiz mode with questions that allow you to “to test the knowledge of all who think they really know the scriptures”, according to the description on Steam. If you want our opinion, they must be a bit more difficult than our quizzes on Luffy or Black beard.
Thus, for the modest sum of 12,49 eurosyou can get The Bible on Steam and even have fun unlocking the 72 achievements offered by the game. Note that for now only the English version is available, but the developers promise to make the game free and add all languages if the revenue generated from sales allows hiring translators.
Although this may be the first Bible on Steam, it’s certainly not the first Bible-themed game to hit Valve’s platform. In 2020, a third-person fighting game called The Bible – Exodus appeared on the platform in complete ignorance: no player has posted a review about it.
