Laccomodation plays a decisive role in the standard of living of households – since it represents a third of their expenditure – as well as in the quality of life. It is important for the economy, generating 10% of GDP and 9% of jobs in France. It is key for the cohesion of the nation because it largely determines the trajectories of integration or exclusion. The adage that “tell me where you live and I’ll tell you who you are” is proving to be more and more true with the polarization of the population and territories.

France suffers from a housing shortage. Our country has a stock of 33 million main residences for 68 million inhabitants, showing a deficit of 2 million housing units. Added to this are the qualitative shortcomings of residential real estate. OUR…
