By rotation rockets and drones were planning, according to the Ukrainian authorities, the assassination of Volodymyr Zelenskythe head of the intelligence services of the military of Ukraine, Kirill Budanovand the head of Ukrainian intelligence Vasil Maliuk Ukrainian officials who met on Tuesday.
As the Guardian reports, the operation was organized by Russian Secret Service (FSB) officers Maxim Mishustin, Dmytro Perlin and Alexei Kornev.
Their goal was to find someone from President Zelensky’s entourage in order to kill him. From there on Budanov and the other officials the plan was to kill them with a missile strike, a kamikaze drone, followed by a missile strike to destroy the evidence of the drones.
In the intercepted conversations Perlin refers to the missile strike targeting Budanov as “the big bird” and the drone strike as “little bird”. He was quoted as saying that “the order is missile, drone, missile”.
According to what has happened one of the Ukrainians who have been arrested is a colonel and even had a meeting with Kornev secretly before 2022.
