Robert Williams III soon back in the Celtics roster? The period of absence of four to six weeks which had been announced on March 28 following his meniscus tear seems to be able to be respected and the Time Lord might return soon in a team which turns the balloons thoroughly.
Rob Williams’ recovery is moving in the right direction. According to Jay King of The Athletic, Ime Udoka assured that his pivot will be able to travel with the team as he is progressing well and the initial estimate of four to six weeks seems reliable. If the player hasn’t returned to training with the group yet, it looks like he can now do contact drills. Great news in Massachusetts when you know the impact that the Time Lord had on his team during the season, especially in defense and in his dominance in the racket. If RW III returns following four weeks, that would mean Game 4 of the series once morest the Nets, following six weeks that would mean… Game 4 of the second round. The estimates are therefore still approximate and the C’s staff should not take any risks with their 24-year-old interior, especially since, for the moment, Daniel Theis and Al Horford are protecting the Boston racket rather well. Ime Udoka’s side lead 2-0 in the first round once morest Brooklyn before starting away games on Saturday and the results at Barclays Center may determine the date of return of Robert Williams.
The absence of the Celtics center raised concerns regarding the Leprechauns’ ability to do without him. Good news, the gang to Jayson Tatum is doing very well and won his two games at TD Garden once morest the Nets. Papi Horford and Private Theis are currently in the paint, but in the end the two games were very competitive: Game 1 until the end with this victorious lay-up from Jayson Tatum at the buzzer, Game 2 with a last quarter- time in which Boston toppled Brooklyn 29-17. If the C’s win Game 3 on Saturday, one might imagine the Greens staff giving the Time Lord more time to get back to 100% of his means. It remains to be seen what they will do if the series proves to be closer. In the event of qualification in the second round of the Playoffs, the presence of Rob in the roster would be decisive since it is the Bucks who would potentially point the tip of their noses, if the Bulls have not played a bad trick on them by then ( 1-1 currently). We are not there yet but if the series between Boston and Milwaukee arises, the presence of RW III would be major to try to contain Giánnis Antetokoúnmpo as well as possible. Before that, the Celtics must do the job once morest Brooklyn, if possible without rushing the return of their defensive pillar.
Ime Udoka said Robert Williams will travel with the Celtics. He’s progressing well, has had no setbacks.
“That benchmark that we aimed (for) of 4-6 weeks is looking good.”

Everything is going in the right direction for Robert Williams, everything is going in the right direction for the Celtics. Boston will be even more armed with its pivot to go as far as possible in the Playoffs but the C’s must do everything to ensure that the Time Lord is 100% when he pushes back the floors. For now, we can say that the work is made in Massachusetts.
