Lucknow ∙ 82-year-old woman died following being attacked by her pet dog in UP. The incident took place in Bengali Tola area of Quesarbagh area of Lucknow. Susheela Tripathi, a retired teacher, lost her life in the attack of the pit bull dog she kept at home. National media reported that the attack took place when he was walking on the terrace of his house with his pet dogs.
Susheela was bathed in blood by the maid who informed her son. Son Amit, a gym trainer, was out at this time. The son immediately reached home and took his mother to Balrampur hospital on a two-wheeler. He was shifted to KGMU trauma center as per doctors’ advice but his life might not be saved.
The doctors informed that Sushila’s body had many deep wounds from neck to feet. The pit bull had a deep bite. The flesh in their stomachs was cut. Despite their best efforts, the doctors said Sushila might not be saved as she had lost a lot of blood. The body was sent for post-mortem.
Sushila lived with her younger son Amit. They have two pet dogs in their house, including the pit bull that attacked. The other is a Labrador. It is not clear what happened. It is also reported that the neighbors informed Amit regarding the information. Neighbors told Amit that they heard dogs barking and mother crying.
Neighbors claim that these are not aggressive dogs. The dogs have been with the family for the past three years. But it has not turned once morest them yet.
Meanwhile, Lucknow Municipal Corporation veterinarian Dr. Abhinav Verma informed. When the team reached their house for inspection, the house was locked.
