We see many kinds of animals kept by humans as pets. But has anyone ever heard of growing a pet on their head? What else can you call the sight of a pigeon living on a man’s head other than the rarest of rares? Recently BBC shared one such video. The video is from the BBC’s own archives.

The video is an interview that took place in 1969. According to reports, Glynn Wood was a tax inspector from Stockford, England. In October 1969, he was walking down the street when a pigeon landed on his head. He said in the interview that he tried to remove the pigeon from his head at least five times, but it kept coming back and sitting on his head.

When asked if a pigeon can recognize you in a crowd, Glynn Wood said in an interview that a pigeon can recognize you even among 50-60 people. Everywhere Glyn Wood goes with this pigeon. Now, wherever you go out, including in shops. And so it is always in his head.

Wood says eating with a pigeon on his head was difficult at first, but he got used to it. He also said that he had to buy many suits and shirts because of the dirt caused by pigeons. Glyn Wood says that his wife would remove the pigeon from his head and put it in the garage at night, but in the morning the pigeon would come back and stay on his head.

However, when Glyn Wood’s interview went viral that day, the original owner of the pigeon, Irene Miotla, came looking for Wood.
