The 49B2U5900CH, the latest addition to the Philips B2B 5000 range, is equipped with a 32:9 (49-inch) SuperWide screen and includes features such as a “Busylight” indicator and a tilting hook for headphones. The USB-C and RJ45 docking station, as well as the TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certification, make this monitor an interesting collaborative tool.
Aimed to replace a multi-monitor setup, the 49-inch SuperWide display offers a resolution of 5120×1440 equivalent to two 16:9 Quad HD monitors side by side. The Philips 49B2U5900CH offers viewing angles of 178 x 178 degrees and a contrast ratio of 3000:1, which allows users to have very clear vision from any angle.
The Busylight at the top of the webcam can sync with Microsoft Teams statuses to indicate whether people are on a call or not.
In addition to this feature, the 5MP webcam with Microsoft Hello allows users to automatically sign in to all their Microsoft accounts using Microsoft Hello facial recognition.
Traditionally, a built-in KVM switch allows you to switch between sources by clicking a button on the edge of the monitor. With Smart KVM, users simply press the “ctrl” key on the keyboard three times to switch between PCs.
In addition, the monitor is also equipped with a USB-C docking station with RJ45. Versatile USB-C connections deliver up to 100W of power and transfer data to and from devices at high speeds. The RJ45 connection that the USB-C docking station is equipped with can also reach a transmission speed of 1G.
Connectivity and collaboration features are not the only advantage Philips 49B2U5900CH is equipped with a headphone hook stored on the side of the monitor, a height adjustable stand (HAS) and a VESA mount. Around €1,199.
