The phenomenon of wild bites is growing more and more: 350 complaints filed in France

After similar cases denounced in Belgium and the Netherlands, the testimonies of victims of “wild bites” during festive evenings are also increasing in France.

According to information from France Inter, nearly 350 people have filed complaints for this kind of phenomenon since the end of March in France. More than half of these complaints, nearly 200, were recorded during the month of May alone.

As a reminder, similar facts were recently suspected in Belgium. Seven young women filed a complaint following an evening in Dampicourt (Luxembourg) in early May. Two investigations were also opened following the Belgian Pride which took place in Brussels on 14 May. The “We R Young” festival in Hasselt was even stopped last Wednesday following 22 teenagers were unwell.

The majority of people who say they have been bitten complain of dizziness, nausea or dizziness.

If the phenomenon is taken seriously by the authorities, no investigation has so far confirmed the thesis of wild bites in the events mentioned.
