Fifteen years ago, “Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis” was released in theaters and was a huge success with the public. With 20 million admissions, the production is now one of the most watched films in France.
Last night, on the set of the show “Quelle époque”, Dany Boon was invited to talk regarding his new film “La vie est belle”. The comedian remembered the success of “Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis” had had. “The goal is not to make a lot of admissions… I made more than 20 million because I didn’t want to make more than 20 million, the film arrived at a time when people needed that movie. There was a brotherly side”, he explains.
For Dany Boon, the film did not deserve so many admissions: “I don’t think the film deserved, especially, 20 million admissions”.
