From their perspective, the main barriers that prevent Mexicans from having effective access to medical care are organizational, that is, patients are only cared for if they are beneficiaries of a certain institution and generally in the morning shift –not in the followingnoon. nor on weekends-, the also director of the Faculty of Medicine of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, also mentioned the geographical, economic, cultural and social barriers. Therefore, he assured that patients prefer to go to pharmacies with nearby doctors, since they are always open there, they are close to their homes, the waiting time is short and they solve their health problem.
