The Personería will investigate an alleged case of sexual harassment in the Mayor’s Office of Medellín

The District Personery of Medellin ireported that an investigation was launched within the Mayor’s Office due to an alleged case of sexual harassment.

According to information provided by the Personería, the accusation would be once morest a person linked to the Ministry of Finance of Medellinand the victim would be a contractor of this municipal administration.

“The District Personería of Medellín, through the process of Administrative Surveillance and Disciplinary Instruction, began a preliminary investigation once morest an official of the District Treasury Secretariat, for alleged sexual harassment of a contractor from the same unit,” said the Personería in a statement.

This is not the first time that this woman has denounced this workplace and sexual harassment by the same official, since she had previously made a complaint to the Secretariat of Evaluation and Control.

“In addition, this woman filed complaints with other control agencies,” said the entity.

Due to the complaints received from this person, the Ombudsman made the decision to start this investigation to investigate this fact and find out what actions the person has taken. Medellin’s town hall since this alleged harassment was reported.
