Vinay shared regarding Soumya and the changes that happened to him due to their interaction in an interview given to the YouTube channel Aayam with Dhanya Varma.
“Until I got married, I didn’t realize that there is a difference between the problems faced by men and women in the society. I often wonder what feminism is.
I am a humanist. He is a person who believes only in humans. I even wondered why women say feminism. Even though women were told that there were many difficulties, I had no idea regarding it.
My wife taught me all regarding it. I have mother and sister in my house but following marriage I understood the difficulties of women. Soumya looked at my face and told me what difficulties women are facing.
That is, she told exactly what a woman’s life is like and in what ways she faces problems from the society. I would like to say that she made me realize the difficulties I was going through whether it was going on a bus or walking on the road following 7pm.
She looked me in the face and told me regarding the harsh realities they face from all the theaters where I used to watch movies comfortably. My wife is a feminist, a communist and an ethicist.
Soumya will teach me many things. She would tell me everything very literally. I am still learning a lot from her at this age. How to behave with a woman in turn. But Soumya is the person who taught me all this and educated me in a way,” said Vinay Fort.
