Realme unveils a variant of the GT Neo 3 equipped with a Snapdragon chip, a bigger battery and less charging. The phone is expected below 500 euros.
Realme is launching its new GT 3 series with a bang with not one, but two smartphones: the Realme GT Neo 3 and GT Neo 3T, indicates XDA. Realme once once more seems to be inspired by the strategy of its model, Xiaomi, which recently offered two Redmi Note 11 Pro et Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus with almost similar characteristics. We take stock.
The dragon replaces the media library
The two fundamental differences compared to the “classic” GT Neo 3 relate to the chip chosen, Snapdragon rather than MediaTek and the autonomy and charging speed part.
On the chip side, this Realme swaps the Dimensity 8100 of the GT Neo 3 for a Snapdragon 870, considered the competing SoC and equivalent in terms of power. It boasts 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128-256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Note in passing that the GT Neo 3 offers a variant with 12 GB of RAM.
The load, the sinews of war
It will not have escaped your notice that when it comes to smartphone charging power, the season is on the rise. Realme is determined to win the bet this June by offering the first phone with 150W charging, the Realme GT Neo 3.
The GT Neo 3T, for its part, plays a more sober score by integrating a load “only” of 80W. As is often the case now, the manufacturer integrates “in exchange” a larger battery, since we go from 4500 mAh to 5000 mAh, all separated into two cells of 2500 mAh.
However, this is a lesser difference, given that the GT Neo 3 too offers a variant equipped with the same 80W charging and the same 5000 mAh battery, in addition to its 150W model.
The rest of the features
For the rest, the two phones seem very close to each other. We can highlight a slightly smaller screen size, 6.62 inches on the GT Neo 3T once morest 6.7 inches on the GT Neo 3. It also retains the FHD + definition and the refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The main sensor also changes, going from 50 megapixels to 64 megapixels. Note that the sensor of the “basic” GT Neo 3 is a rather famous Sony IMX766, but that we do not know the sensor of this GT Neo 3T. The ultra wide-angle and the macro retain their 8 and 2 megapixel definitions.
Last differentiating point, the back of the phone would incorporate a checkerboard pattern and two yellow or white colors.

The Realme GT Neo 3T should be available in France at a price of 469 euros for the 8 + 128 GB model and 509 euros in 8 + 256 GB.
