Previously, through understanding the situation of the area, the police of Sai Son commune, Quoc Oai district learned that on February 4, Ms. HTH, residing in Nam Tu Liem district, was approached by 2 subjects to commit a robbery. in the commune. Ms. H fell on the street, but fortunately the bag did not break, so she still preserved her property.
Previously, in the area of Quoc Oai district, there were also a number of cases of property robbery where the perpetrator was a man, using a white Wave car. Most of the victims, when they were approached and robbed of their bags, fell on the street, endangering their lives and losing all their property and identity papers.
Faced with the serious nature of the incident, police commander Quoc Oai on the one hand worked with the victim, Ms. HTH, to collect information, and on the other hand, organized investigation and traced the subject.
HTH’s handbag was robbed by 2 subjects but did not break
On February 7, following a period of hospitalization, Ms. H went to the police station to report. On the evening of the same day, the task force of the CSHS – CAH Quoc Oai team arrested two subjects who robbed Ms. HTH’s bag. That was the “couple” Nguyen Van Dung and Nguyen Duc Tung.
Expanding the investigation, the police agency determined that Nguyen Van Dung and Nguyen Duc Tung together committed 3 robbery cases and 1 property theft case in Quoc Oai district, Thach That district and Nam Tu Liem district. ; Particularly, Nguyen Duc Tung confessed to having committed a property theft case in Hoai Duc district and together with a person named Trung (whose identity has not been identified) committed a robbery in the area of Dan Phuong district. Hanoi City.

Notably, both Dung and Tung are drug addicts and are those who have “senior years” in prison. Dung has 4 previous convictions; 2 convictions, while Tung was a little bit worse with 2 convictions – 2 times he was sent to a compulsory detoxification facility.
The testimony of Tung and Dung at the police agency showed that, at the end of January, 2023, the subjects stole a motorbike at Nguyen Van Giap Street, Cau Dien Ward, Nam Tu Liem District. On the followingnoon of February 4, Tung went to Dung’s house to play, invited each other to rob property for money for personal spending. They used this stolen car to commit crimes.
To evade suspicious authorities, they installed the control plate that Dung had picked up earlier on this car. Tung drove a motorbike with Dung sitting in the back to go to Thay pagoda area in Da Phuc village, Sai Son commune to rob property. When Tung approached Ms. H, Dung sat behind her and grabbed her bag, causing Ms. H to fall onto the street. Unable to get the property, they increased the gas and ran away.
This is also a trick that Dung and Tung have performed with 3 consecutive cases that occurred on January 27, 28, and 29 in Thach That district, Nam Tu Liem district and Quoc Oai town.
Tung himself at the end of October 2022 also stole a Mio Yamaha motorcycle in Hoai Duc town. After that, Tung used this car with Nguyen Van Dung to steal a white Wave car on Nguyen Van Giap Street, turning it into a vehicle to commit crimes in subsequent cases.
Currently, the Police Department – Quoc Oai Police is continuing to investigate and clarify the case and the people involved.
