The filming of the fantasy series Percy Jackson and the Olympians started at the end of last spring. If initially, we thought that the show would arrive next year on Disney+it would ultimately be quite different since the author Rick Riordan revealed that we may have to wait until 2024 before discovering this highly anticipated series.
End of filming planned for the end of the year
In his blog, Rick Riordan revealed that filming is proceeding normally but the production wants to take its time to unveil the best possible product.
“We are on schedule and everything is going according to plan although we still have a long way to go before this series is ready. We’ve sort of almost finished principal photography for the first episode and started a good chunk of second filming, but principal photography just gives us the rough puzzle pieces that must then be put together with a soundtrack, special effects and editing to give a finished product. And we still have a lot of work to do to get all those puzzle pieces for the whole season. »
The entire filming of the series (one episode per month) will continue until December or even January 2023 and the post-production work will last several months.
“Given all of this, I think the most likely air date will probably be early 2024. Again, this is just a guess. Release dates are determined by the studio and streaming service, and must take into account hundreds of other factors like the release schedule of all shows Disney+promotion schedule, etc…”
