The Pentagon: 20 countries will provide new weapons to Ukraine

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced that regarding 20 countries offered to provide new security assistance to Ukraine, to confront Russian forces at a meeting of allies held Monday.

“Today’s meeting was very successful,” Austin said. Many countries will provide artillery ammunition, defense systems, tanks and other armor that the Ukrainians desperately need.”

Ukraine had previously announced that it had made contacts with allied countries in order to provide it with heavy weapons, to confront Russian forces.

Kyiv has already received batches of military aid from the United States of America and many European countries, which Moscow has repeatedly denounced, and said: The aim of this aid is to “prolong the war in Ukraine,” stressing at the same time that Western arms shipments to Ukraine A “legitimate target” of the Russian forces, and it has already announced on more than one occasion that it has “destroyed” Western arms shipments to Ukraine.
