The more time passes, the more we realize that the chances of Ron Hextall leaving the Penguins are good. The club’s CEO does not have an inspiring career as a CEO and his club seems to be treading water.
Could housekeeping also involve Brian Burke, who has never really rebuilt anywhere else? Possibly, yes.
With the Penguins season coming to an end, we can well and truly think that Mario Lemieux and his new partners will make big decisions for the future. It might even happen today.
Several names will circulate, including that of Marc Bergevin… but let’s say that the name of Kyle Dubas was not one that I expected to see. But still, here we are.
Dubas to Penguins whispers are getting louder.

Mark Madden, who does radio in Pittsburgh, is the source of the rumor. From what he hears, the Penguins would like the chance to hire the current GM of the Maple Leafs.
It’s not nothing, as a rumor.
Why take the rumor of a guy like him, whom we don’t know, seriously? Because Chris Johnston of Sportsnet did. In his showhe took the time to talk regarding the file.
And concretely, he does not believe that the GM of the Maple Leafs will be the next boss of the Penguins this summer.
In his eyes, whether or not the Maple Leafs win once morest the Lightning in the first round, it would be surprising to see the Leafs decide to fire him. In fact, he expects more that the GM will never be free as the air and that he resigns in Toronto.
Remember that his contract will expire this summer.
Johnston doesn’t believe Dubas wants to leave Toronto, but he understands why the Penguins are interested in a young GM who can build a good team. Would he, in such a structure, be the big boss of Penguins hockey operations?
The file is still to watch, but let’s say that if Dubas were to become free as the air, the Penguins would not be the only club to call him to talk to him a bit.
