Since his arrival in the NBA, the health of Zion Williamson is a problem in New Orleans. If we refuse to believe that having drafted Zion Williamson is a failure, we must still succeed in determining where this propensity to get injured comes from, but especially to have difficulty in terms of rehabilitation. The Pelicans are restructuring the medical staff as well as the performance center after this season’s injuries.
In making this choice, the objective is clear. We want to see if the problem comes from Zion Williamson or if the staff was not competent enough to help him. Next season is therefore likely to be very important for the star since a new exercise marked by injuries could definitely annoy New Orleans. Anyway, we actually want to be more peaceful in 2023/2024.
Besides Zion, there have been several times when the Pels couldn’t take advantage of their starters. Despite good performances when he was present, Brandon Ingram also missed almost half of the season as he only played 45 games. Inevitably, when your first two offensive options do not combine 81 games, performing at the highest level quickly becomes difficult…
