The spokesperson for the Party of Hope for National Development (PEDN), reacted this Saturday, June 17, 2023, to the words of Cellou Dalein Diallo who describes certain political parties, such as the PEDN, as supporters of the Guinean junta.
Mohamed Cissé, first recalls that the leader of the UFDG is used to the facts. In 2016, he criticized the PEDN because of its opposition to the method of choosing neighborhood leaders.
“You remember when we slammed the door at the political dialogue level in 2016 because we saw that there is a right acquired by citizens that has been taken away from them and that is not normal. He (Cellou Dalein) called us enemies of the country because we are once morest this agreement. If he qualifies the others as pro CNRD it means that he is once morest the CNRD. Yet he says he is not an opponent of the CNRD. He must tell us what the reality is, therefore say things and the opposite. It’s not a good thing for someone of his status, but it doesn’t surprise us. It is the same leader who said here that all those who say that it is not normal to prevent citizens from choosing their neighborhood leaders by democratic means are enemies of the Republic”.
This is why this close collaborator of Lansana Kouyaté says he is not surprised that the same person continues to bring “accusations” once morest his party.
“It is the same person who qualifies us today as pro CNRD. We are proud of it and we fully assume this position. We tell ourselves that the CNRD can never be a political party in power and we party in opposition. Because the CNRD is there to manage a transition and this transition challenges all of us and we must do everything we can to ensure that it is peaceful and successful”.
The other subject addressed by the PEDN spokesperson is the announced return of Cellou Dalein Diallo to Guinea. For Mohamed Cissé, Dalein must return to face the justice of his country.
“We were the first politician to tell him to come back to face justice and prove to justice that what he is accused of is unfounded. If his militants tell him what the PEDN asked what his militants understood the importance of what we said. It also means that we see further than them. I do not see why the return of Dalein will have an impact on us because we do not have the same political offer, we do not have the same level of credibility and we do not have the same consistency in the political fight”, specified this framework of the PEDN on Saturday at the end of the Assembly of his party.
