Lampung POLDA estimates that the peak return flow for Eid 2024 will occur from April 13 to 15 2024. Homecoming travelers are advised to prepare themselves and avoid these dates.
Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Regional Police, Kombes Umi Fadilah Astutik, said that this appeal was aimed at the public, especially those who were returning from Sumatra Island to Java via the Bakauheni Harbor crossing.
“From our predictions, the peak return flow for Eid this year will occur on April 13, 14, 15, including at Bakauheni Port,” he said in Bandarlampung, Thursday (11/4).
Therefore, Umi appealed to travelers to avoid the peak dates for the reverse flow.
The aim is to reduce traffic density and avoid long queues to board ferry boats to Java.
“When the flow reverses, it’s a good idea to choose another alternative date, so that the journey can be smooth, comfortable, and don’t wait too long in line when boarding a ship at Bakauheni Port,” he asked.

He also appealed to travelers to prepare themselves well, starting from physical condition readiness to the vehicle used during the trip.
This includes making sure you have a crossing ticket before leaving home for Bakauheni Harbor, because a delaying system will be implemented as well as ticket screening at buffer zone points on toll roads and arterial roads.
“Let’s work together to create smooth traffic conditions for the safe and comfortable return flow of Eid 2024 in Lampung Province,” stressed the former Metro Police Chief. (Ria/Z-7)
