Last week, Blizzard opened pre-orders for Diablo IV on the Battle.net app. Unfortunately, as expected with Overwatch 2 and Modern Warfare 2, the game cannot be purchased in Russia and Belarus – it simply does not appear on Battle.net.
This does not mean that you cannot buy the game, you can always create a new account with a changed country and use a VPN. However, you should not try to change the IP with a ready-made account, since Battle.net checks by the country of registration of the account.
It’s not impossible, but before release, it’s not yet clear if it will be possible to run the game via an .exe file like Diablo Immortal. But even in this case, you will have to ask someone to send all the files with the game.
So the easiest and most straightforward option is to create an account in another region and safely buy Diablo IV there. There is still a little more than 6 months before the release, but it is doubtful that the situation will change in a positive direction during this time for gamers from Russia and Belarus.
The situation with Diablo IV on consoles is not yet clear. Most likely there will be fewer problems.
