Asuncion, IP Agency.- The construction and rehabilitation project of the National Route PY10, in the San Cristóbal – Paso Yobái section, is promoted by the government through the Ministry of Public Works. This “Route of Integration”, announced by President Santiago Peña, has an estimated investment of USD 100 million and will benefit the departments of Alto Paraná, Caazapá and Guairá.
This project will benefit areas with high productive potential in the Eastern Region of the country.
Representatives of the Strategic Projects Directorate of the MOPC held a coordination meeting with municipal authorities of Abaí, Naranjal and Paso Yobái, at the headquarters of the San Cristóbal Cooperative in Alto Paraná and then toured the 79.75 km of the section to be worked on.
The project includes asphalt paving of the route, complementary road safety works, as well as the construction and paving of variants and accesses to urban areas of Tuparendá, Tuna, San Agustín, Mangrullo and Paso Yobái.
The Government will implement the “Turnkey” mechanism to ensure quality, reduce costs and speed up execution, with completion expected in three years. This modality implies that a company will be in charge of the entire project, optimizing resources and time in this crucial road infrastructure project.
