the Parisian coach with a clenched fist after the OM goal (video)

This furtive close-up can leave room for several interpretations. Christophe Galtier, the PSG coach, was filmed clenching his fist in reaction to the second Marseille goal from Ruslan Malinovskyi, Wednesday during the round of 16 of the Coupe de France between Marseille and PSG. Some saw it as a way of rejoicing for his former club, Marseille, where he played and coached on an interim basis. But it was rather a gesture of spite as evidenced by the insult dropped by the technician while he clenched his fist.

Whistled by the public at the Vélodrome when his name was mentioned (Editor’s note: the Parisian coach is from Marseille), the former technician from Saint-Etienne, Lille and Nice expressed his great disappointment following this setback which eliminated his team for the second year in a row at this stage. “It’s a big disappointment,” he regretted. “The Coupe de France was one of our goals. We are beaten by a great team from Marseille. It is a difficult time”.
