Paris (AFP) – The Paris Bourse ended slightly lower on Thursday, playing a cautious score, as since the start of the week, as the symphony of central banks approaches next week.
The star CAC 40 index fell 0.20% to end at 6,647.31 points. Since the start of the week, it is down 1.41%, risking breaking a streak of nine weekly gains.
The Paris odds fluctuated slightly around equilibrium throughout the session, following opening slightly higher.
Since the low point at the end of September, the indices have rebounded powerfully, helped by investor confidence in the fact that the slowdown in inflation, at least in the United States initially, was going to make it possible to have a change in the monetary policy of raising key rates.
But the strength of this rise also leaves analysts skeptical. “The central banks are not going to let up on the pressure while waiting to be sure of the trajectory of inflation”, nuances Patrice Gautry, of Union Bancaire Privée, for whom “it is easier to go from 10% to 5 % inflation than going from 5% to 2%.”
The American central bank meets on December 13 and 14, and will have the latest figures to feed its thinking, with producer prices in the United States on Friday and consumer prices on Tuesday.
On Thursday, it will be the turn of the European Central Bank to announce its monetary policy decisions.
Derichebourg jumped 3.92% to 5.43 euros. The annual net profit of the recycling group, which had already reached a record last year, grew by 36% during its staggered 2021-2022 financial year, to 237 million euros, driven in particular by the integration of its competitor Ecore. , according to results released Wednesday.
The title is however still in loss of 46.5% since the beginning of the year.

Hermès took 0.07% to 1,517.50 euros, Kering stable at 522.60 euros, and LVMH 0.87% to 719 euros.
