Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced, on Wednesday, the killing of the journalist, Sherine Abu Aqla, and the injury of the journalist Ali Al-Samoudi in Jenin.
This came according to what was reported by the official Palestinian News Agency, which stated that 51-year-old Abu Aqila was shot in the head.
The Israeli military said that Israeli security forces were operating in the area “to detain suspects in terrorist activities,” adding that the suspects and Israeli forces exchanged fire, and acknowledged “the possibility of wounding journalists.”
The Palestinian Agency quoted the Ministry of Health as saying that Al-Samoudi was shot in the back, pointing out that his health condition is stable.
