Mumbai: A young man was arrested for tearing pages of his passport to hide his foreign travel from his wife. Samdarshi Yadav (32), a native of Mumbai, was arrested. The young man’s move was not knowing that it is a crime to falsify a passport. The move made to keep his wife from knowing regarding his illicit relationship has ended!
Before his marriage in 2019, he had visited Thailand to meet his girlfriend. He also kept the information regarding his girlfriend a secret. When he arrived at the Mumbai airport the other day to go to the Maldives, the immigration officials at the Mumbai airport noticed that some of the pages in his passport were torn. During police questioning, he admitted that he had gone to Thailand to meet his girlfriend.
He was arrested when he admitted that he had torn the pages of his passport during interrogation. He was booked under IPC rules for cheating and forgery. But the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court granted bail to him on Friday. 25,000 rupees was also suggested as bail.
