Six years following it was taken off the market, the original Forza Horizon game made a brief appearance this weekend.
Several users reported that they were able to purchase the game on the Xbox Store on Saturday, noting that it was the first time it had been available since it was withdrawn in 2016.
However, by Saturday evening, the game was taken off the market once more. It’s unclear if this is a sign that Microsoft intends to make it available once more in the future.
Forza games are due to be taken off the market a few years following their release due to the third party licenses the games use to show real cars, tracks and other items that will start to expire.
However, anyone who purchases Forza games prior to this point can download them from their library at any time. Multiplayer and online services also remain available.
