To celebrate the release of their new musical production “Momentos,” the members of La Original Banda El Limón traveled from Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico, to the city of Escondido, CA, to meet the new residents of the San Diego Zoo, the panda bears Yun Chuan and Xin Bao.
The Original Banda El Limón, who were in Los Angeles last night presenting their album and performing their songs in front of the media, became the first Mexican artists to visit the new habitat ‘Panda Ridge’, which was quite an experience for them.
“It is a gift of life to be able to observe them, how interesting it is that the worlds of music and nature can be combined. It is a blessing that makes you aware of the existence of a world that we have to preserve,” said Juan Lizárraga in a statement.
“I feel committed to making La Original Banda El Limón a spokesperson for this awareness in the way and to the extent that we can talk about it with our followers. Obviously, we sell entertainment, shows and music, but we have the blessing of having an audience that listens to us and it is not a bad idea to talk about these issues that, at the end of the day, are part of our environment. From today on, we are going to be on the lookout and spread the message of raising awareness about our species and the environment,” added Lizárraga.
Yun Chuan and Xin Bao are the first pandas to enter the United States in 21 years. Since arriving in late June, the pair have been acclimating to their new home at the newly renovated Panda Ridge. This innovative space is four times larger than the San Diego Zoo’s previous panda habitat and is inspired by the stunning, lush landscapes of giant pandas’ native habitats in Sichuan, Gansu and Shanxi provinces.
‘Moments’ of celebration
In a Los Angeles location known by the name of Candela, La Original Banda El Limón, led by Salvador Lizárraga, presented their new unreleased album, “Momentos,” amidst important personalities from the world of music and the new digital music platforms of Spotify and Apple Music.
The album marks a new stage in the successful career of the Mazatlán band and is also positioned as one of the most important releases of the year by the regional Mexican band, being the 48th production of their successful career.
During the celebration, representatives of District 13 of the City of Los Angeles presented the band members with a proclamation “for their 60 years of career, for their music and for elevating Mexican culture throughout the world,” they said.
After the thanks and applause for the distinguished recognition, Juan Lizárraga and the other members of the band delighted the guests with their songs and the special moment of the night came when they gave voice to their new hit “A tu existencia”, with which they gave a festive and nostalgic atmosphere to the evening.
The album “Momentos” features pieces that evoke happiness, love, heartbreak, nostalgia, loneliness, regret and sadness with the finesse of its lyrics in songs such as “Gracias a ti”, “Momentos”, “Si estoy como estoy” and “Me tienes en tus manos”.
It also includes other songs that could become their new classics such as “Dos Palabras”, “Trátame bonito”, “Te hago un bien” and the single “Me Enamoré”, composed by Ramón Maldonado, one of the vocalists of La Original Banda El Limón.
