The Irish folk-punk band THE O’REILLYS AND THE PADDYHATS is ready to conquer the stages of Germany! On September 22nd, 2023 the band will release their brand new album “Wake the Rebels” published. Next follows a big tour of Germany from September 28, 2023.

THE O’REILLYS AND THE PADDYHATS are known for their energetic live performance and unique fusion of Celtic folklore and punk rock. Their new album “Wake the Rebels” promises to continue this tradition and take fans on a musical journey to burning barricades that moves the heart and soul.

“Wake the Rebels” is the result of intensive work, passion and creativity. It contains twelve tracks that showcase the band’s range of musical talents. From rousing anthems, mosh pit bangers to soulful ballads, the album is like a musical Molotov cocktail: two thirds punk rock and one third folk. The lyrics follow the tradition of the Irish Trinity: rebel songs, drinking songs and ballads.

An unadorned melange of social criticism and emotion, fictional storytelling and autobiographical self-exposure.

“Wake the Rebels” is also a first as it is the first recorded with new singer “Paddy Maguire”. “Paddy Maguire” brings a rough, punky voice to the band and gives the songs a refreshing intensity. In addition, it is the Paddyhats’ first album that was created entirely on their own without a label.

With six newly released music videos, “The O’Reillys and the Paddyhats” have already presented half of their songs in advance of the album release and demonstrated their fresh sound and versatility.

The “Wake the Rebels” album is available on CD and in various vinyl editions. In addition, the new album can be put together as a limited edition box using the configurator with different merchandise items.

The German tour, which begins on September 28, 2023, will take “The O’Reillys and the Paddyhats” to 15 cities across the country. The crowd-pleasing band is known for creating an incredible atmosphere on stage with special shows – and this tour will be no exception. The show evenings will be opened as a special guest by the Swedish Celtic Punk band “Sir Reg”, who can already look back on several European tours with their Irish frontman “Brendan Sheehy”.
