It is certainly the easiest victory of Simon Kean’s career. The Quebecer won before even throwing a single shot, Friday at the Casino de Montreal, the result of an abandonment of his opponent at the sound of the initial bell.
According to the official version, the Franco-Algerian Newfel Ouatah (18-5, 10 K.-O.) had no insurance in France. The explanation remains absurd since the veteran had hinted several times on Wednesday that his goal was to give the best possible show to Montrealers.
For Kean (22-1, 21 K.-O.), the situation is certainly disappointing, he who wanted to correct some shortcomings in his defensive game.
I’ve seen it in boxing, but I don’t have the words to describe this one. So sad for Simon #Kean who did his training camp. #Ouatah should not have accepted the fight if he was not insured. A fiasco. https://t.co/h9gPutO6kr
