Israel is ready to send troops to Rafah, which it considers the last stronghold of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas.

The business in Rafawhich has been delayed for several weeks amid disagreements with Washington, will take place “very soon,” the widely circulated Israeli newspaper Hayom reported, citing the Israeli government’s decision following deadlocked ceasefire talks with Hamas.
