The only offer for the electronic ballot in Neuquén was known: it will cost $581 million

The government indicated that, in parallel to this process, the definition of the volunteers who will assist voters on how to vote before entering the dark room. In 2019, this task was carried out by the National University of Comahue, so they are evaluating whether to repeat the experience or opt to also outsource it through the same MSA.

Once the service is awarded, the province will make the machines available to train voters, with “special emphasis” on the ten third-category municipalities, the 21 promotion commissions and rural areas that have never used the Single Electronic Ticket. In 2019, the first year of implementation of the new electoral law, these localities maintained the traditional paper ballots.

Elections will be on April 16 throughout the territory to elect governor, vice, 35 provincial deputies and school counselors. In parallel, that same day there will be 52 of 57 municipalities that will vote for local authorities.
