‘Super Fat Cat’ takes the character of a lovely fat cat as the center, but behind it is a whole ‘fraudulent mission’.
In the “war” of the movie Tet 2023, “Super Fat Cat” is the only project in the animated genre with the main character being a cat.
The film has a strong script when it is adapted from a famous best-selling novel. Released in 2001, the work with the full name “The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents” is considered the pride of author Terry Pratchett. This is the best British novel in 2001 for children, won the prestigious Carnegie Medal awarded by the British Association of Library and Information.
Meaningful message, interesting adventure story
The plot of the film tells about Maurice the cat teaming up with a group of wise mice and the boy Keith to carry out fraudulent missions. During a visit to the town of Bad Blintz, Maurice’s group still carried out the old plan: let the rats pretend to invade the town and Keith would be the one to “kill” them. But here, Maurice’s group discovered that there were really bad guys who were “manipulating”, wanting to expand their influence and harm people.
As an adventure project, “Super Fat Cat” integrates many profound messages, suitable for many audiences. The lessons about courage, kindness, as well as friendship and how to grow up are shown through the cute, funny characters. Keith overcomes self-doubt to grow up, or Bad Blintz’s daughter Malicia finds her passion. All are familiar but meaningful stories suitable for families to watch during Tet.

The project “Super Fat Cats” owns a voice cast consisting of all famous actors, with the main role of Maurice cat played by “House” star Hugh Laurie.
