New twist in the soap opera Halo Infinite : following repeatedly pushing back the multiplayer of its campaign mode, 343 Industries has finally given a first concrete release horizon. It is in a roadmap published on the blog game official that the studio advances a new date ” goal “ for the launch of cooperative multiplayer… But only for online. You will still have to be patient before you can explore the Halo Zeta in a buggy with your friends.
To many on Halo Infinite next August?
It is therefore the month of August 2022 that the teams of 343 Industries have set themselves the objective for the launch of the coop campaign ofHalo Infinite. The game’s campaign mode has been available since November 2021 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. A first for the franchise, Halo Infinite did not include a co-op multiplayer mode for the campaign, with its developer assuring it would be added in a post-launch update. Except here it is: Initially expected for next May, the multi coop has finally been pushed back open-ended… But might finally be released at the end of the summer.
A clarification, however: this is only the online cooperative mode, and not the local mode in split screen. Before you can pass a controller to a Spartan ally on his sofa, you will have to wait for the launch of Season 3 of content, scheduled for November 2022. Good news, however: it will soon be possible to replay the missions of the mode campaign following an update also expected for the month of August.
Faced with the many criticisms that the game has received since its release, 343 Industries wants to ensure “his commitment to making Halo Infinite the best experience in franchise history”. It is to respect this commitment that the studio has decided to extend the duration of Season 2 of content, which will therefore be extended until the penultimate month of the year in order to add “gaming experience improvements thanks to player feedback.
