The OnePlus 11 may never have a Pro version

Earlier this week, OnePlus unveiled its new flagship, the OnePlus 11. A version with a solid technical sheet, without displaying a Pro mention. What give hope that it might be in preparation. But that doesn’t really seem to be in the Chinese company’s plans.

An orphan OnePlus 11 this year?

Unlike last year when OnePlus only offered a Pro model of its OnePlus 10, in 2023, the OnePlus 11 is in the spotlight. With its features worthy of the best high-end Android devices, it’s hard not to see a Pro version that doesn’t say its name. Nevertheless, fans of the brand legitimately wondered regarding the subsequent launch of a OnePlus 11 Pro. And what better than social networks to get answers to all these questions?

On Weibo, the Chinese counterpart of Twitter, a user directly posed the question to Li Jei, the company’s president. The latter claimed that the OnePlus 11 was a smartphone “parfait“and that a Pro version was simply not planned. A categorical answer that comes from the highest instance of OnePlus and therefore leaves no room for doubt.

But as one should never say never, let us remember that this same president has announced to the press following this conference that OnePlus was going to launch “blockbusters” later this year. Is that a way of saying that an 11 Pro isn’t due in the near future, but will be in the game later this year, or is that a nice way to turn the spotlight on the next flagships what are usually the T versions? Only Li Jei knows. Still, for this first half, it will be necessary to be satisfied with a model 11, whose international presentation is also fixed for February 7.
