L’Usine Nouvelle – What is your view on companies’ commitment to health at work?
Vincent Baud – As opposed to workplace safety, occupational health is the paradise of diagnoses and the graveyard of action plans. However, it is the objective to be achieved for the employer, who must, according to the law, protect the physical and mental health of workers. With barometers, companies can certainly listen, but beyond providing quality listening, the big challenge is providing answers. The need to express oneself to change the content and experience at work is strong, but too many employees remain in the absence of answers. As a result, workers tend to remain silent, except when major crises arise.
