Dr. Bourquia pointed out that this meat is very beneficial for the health of the central nervous system, as it is an excellent source of vitamin B12, which is crucial for the production of red blood cells and the health of nerve cells, adding that it helps to maintain the skin health and beauty, while preventing depression and mood disorders.

According to Professor Bourquia, red meat is also a source of vitamin B6, folic acid and choline, in addition to its importance in the healthy metabolism of homocysteine ​​and the prevention of its accumulation in the body, because it is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease.

Among these benefits, the expert also cites that sheep meat is rich in B vitamins, such as vitamin B6 which plays an important role in the production and release of antibodies and immune cells, as well as vitamin B3 which helps the body to efficiently use energy from food, and is essential for the proper functioning of the nervous system, as well as vitamins B2 and B5.

Sheep meat is also rich in folic acid, essential for the production of amino acids and the growth of the spinal cord of the foetus, said Prof. Bourquia, stressing that this meat also supports immune strength because a high in zinc is very important for building strong immunity.
