A representative of Mien Tay Bus Station said that the number of visitors to the station was higher than in previous days. However, in the coming days, the number of visitors may peak with more than 49,000 visitors / day. According to the representative, today the number of departures reached nearly 32,000 passengers/day, with 1,335 vehicles, an increase of more than 127% compared to weekdays. Thus, if compared with 2022, the number of visitors will increase by 159%, compared to 2021, the number of visitors will increase by 106%.
A representative of Mien Tay Bus Station said that the routes from this bus station mainly go to the Mekong Delta provinces, which are short distances. Accordingly, people tend to come back later. Currently, the bus station still has enough tickets to meet the travel needs of people during this Tet holiday.
Bustling Mien Dong bus station
Recorded on the followingnoon of the 26th of the Lunar New Year, the roads around the old Mien Dong Bus Station (BXMD) were much busier, many people carrying suitcases and luggage quickly moved to the station to catch the bus back to their hometown, making the Xo Viet Nghe Tinh route. The old Eastern bus station is more congested than usual.
Similarly, Dinh Bo Linh route at the gate of the bus station is also busy with cars entering and leaving the station, and inside the station, passengers are also more crowded and filled with rows of waiting seats in the ticketing area.

A representative of the old BOM said that the number of passengers departing from the bus station reached nearly 550 vehicles, with nearly 15,000 passengers.

Compared to the previous days, the number of visitors to the bus station is much higher, even though it is not rush hour. Currently, the bus station has 58 units that have listed travel fares in accordance with regulations.
The old BXD representative also predicted that the number of visitors might decrease tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the day before (January 15), the bus station peaked with more than 11,000 passengers disembarking, the highest number of passengers ever.

When the number of passengers increased dramatically, the new BOM had a shortage of seats to serve passengers. Currently, 35/93 units declare ticket prices in accordance with regulations.
Mr. Dao Viet Anh, General Director of Phuong Trang Passenger Car Joint Stock Company, said that up to now, the number of passengers using transit vehicles to the new BOC has increased, and the travel demand is large. Accordingly, Phuong Trang has increased the number of cars and flight attendants and drivers by 50% to serve passengers during Tet.
