The number of confirmed measles cases in Upper Austria has risen to four

The infection was also diagnosed in three family members, the health authority said on Friday evening.

The eleven-year-old will continue to be treated in the normal ward, a clinic spokeswoman said on Saturday to the APA. The other patients are isolated at home because of the mild course.

Since the beginning of the year, cases of measles have also been confirmed by the health authorities in Styria, Carinthia and Vienna. With the three other confirmed cases in Upper Austria, the number of cases in Austria has risen to 37 so far this year.
