It was on February 13 that the Minister of National Education in charge of vocational training, Camélia Ntoutoume Leclercq, went to the Multisectoral Center for Training and Vocational Education (CMFEP) in N’tchengue to see the effectiveness of the start of the school year for the first batch of the 2023-2024 academic session.
“We were finally able to open the N’tchengue multi-sector center, which experienced many difficulties and a delay in starting up”rejoiced the Minister of National Education in charge of professional training Camélia Ntoutoume Leclercq.
This latest jewel of professional education of the Gabonese State intends this year to receive nearly 350 learners, who will in the future be future entrepreneurs thanks to the creation of their company for some, or employees in different structures for others. others.
“They have professional plans because others want to open their own business, and some want to be employees in a company. And so there we have a training-employment match”she indicates.
After much doubt regarding the opening of the CMFEP in N’tchengue, the selected learners will benefit from training in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, automobile maintenance engineering, welding engineering and metal fabrication. , cold and air conditioning engineering, and civil engineering for a diploma of the Professional Aptitude Certificate (CAP) and the Higher Technician Certificate (BTS).
For Camélia Ntoutoume, “at the Multisector Center we want to have qualified Gabonese people to reduce the hiring of foreign workers. These children in difficulty will be supported by the ministry on all levels.”
During this ceremony, the government member was able to inquire regarding the operating status of the high-tech equipment, which has been suffering for more than two years from a severe lack of air conditioning.
‹‹ This equipment has been stored for 2 years and we have done everything to maintain it so that it is functional, we will correct it very quickly. These are questions that are not often taken into account when developing specifications ››, she admits.
Among the shortcomings encountered by this professional structure is the state of the road. Indeed, for years this vocational school has not been a showcase in terms of education, due to the abandonment of works (5 km) on the Port-Gentil-Omboué road axis (95 km) . A problem for which the government intends to work hard, in order to make this part of Ogooué-Maritime shiny and attractive.
For the Gabonese State, the objective is to stimulate the training of young people by piloting training, towards sectors that provide employment in order to tackle the problem of unemployment in Gabon.
