Nothing begins the deployment of Nothing OS 1.1.2 on its phone (1). This minor system update (only 38.28 MB) allows the brand to improve some interface elements on its first smartphone, but also to optimize the performance of the device in terms of recharging with certain chargers. Remember that Nothing had already added some features to its mobile through a first update, rolled out at the end of July.

With this news update, the brand slightly modifies the Always-on mode of the Phone (1). In this mode, the custom schedule is now active by default to allow the always-on display to automatically turn off at night. Of course, the user keeps control: he can go back to a continuous activation (day and night) of the Always-on mode if he wishes, by simply going through the settings.

A small update, certainly, but not so anecdotal as that

Nothing OS 1.1.2 also brings a new option to display, by slightly moving the phone, the fingerprint icon even when the screen is off. However, this feature seems, at this stage, not to work well on all devices, points out GSMArena. Anyway, Nothing has also optimized the fingerprint reader to allow a little faster unlocking of the phone.

The brand also explains that it has improved the charging performance of its Phone (1) with chargers supplied by third-party brands. A novelty to which is added the correction of the bug related to Bluetooth codecs, observed by some users. Other minor bug fixes are finally mentioned, as well as an overall improvement in the stability of the OS.

Note, however, that some concerns reported on Nothing OS have still not been corrected. We think in particular of the audio quality problem noticed by some testers, but also of the unreliability of facial recognition. Fingers crossed that the next update will be the right one.
