The Not-So-Humble Politician: Analyzing Annalena Baerbock’s Self-Righteousness and Controversial Statements

We don’t want to do Marie Antoinette an injustice, because she never said the sentence regarding eating cake when there is no bread. But it happens to be the point of reference for aloof self-importance towards the lower classes.

Which brings us directly to Annalena Baerbock. Filled with self-righteousness, a sense of mission and the belief in her own infallibility, she speaks openly what she thinks.

Basically, honesty is a good character trait. It is questionable, however, whether Germany’s chief diplomat should open her heart as a den of murderers.

In Brazil, for example, she reprimanded her hosts for saying that the “price for rice and beans” was more important than aid for Ukraine.

How can they, these Brazilians? Do you want to fill your stomach instead of showing solidarity with the Ukrainians? Let’s take a role model from Baerbock’s subjects, sorry, fellow citizens. They’re uncomplainingly paying billions for a war in which they let Ukrainians die for them. Those are the right priorities.

Of course, Baerbock has overlooked one thing: According to her own words, she doesn’t care what the citizens think. In Brazil, politicians may think differently.
