In a brilliant ceremony that took place in the packed hall of the “Athens Marriott Hotel”, on Friday evening (29/3/2024), the KOE honored the top sportsmen and women who distinguished themselves in the individual top international events of the past year (2023 ), in all her sports.
At the “Aquawards” distinguished people were awarded – together with their coaches – in a total of 19 top competitions. The celebration of aquatics was honored with their presence by the Deputy Minister of Sports Yannis Vroutsis, the President of the EOE and the European Olympic Committees and member of the IOC Spyros Kapralos, the General Secretary George Mavrotas, the president of the IOA Isidoros Kouvelos, the president of EOCAN Grigoris Leon , ESOA president Voula Kozomboli, MPs, deputy regional governors and representatives of parties, sports federations, associations and organizations, as well as the Board of Directors of KOE, athletes, coaches and a crowd of people.
Of course, the NOP had its own participation in this celebration of wet athletics, as four of its members were honored for winning the bronze medal with the national team at the European Polo Championship held in 2023, in Podgorica, Montenegro.
In particular, Ilias Angelopoulos, Angelos Lambatos, Kostas Kremantalas, as well as Nikos Filopoulos, a member of the Board of Directors of the NOP as a team leader in the Children’s National Team, received an award.
