The next In a galaxy near you will pick up many years later where the last film left off, with an aging crew and an aging ship.
“The development of the film is already well advanced. Me and Pierre-Yves [Bernard]we have been writing on our arm for three years, as they say […]but since we submitted the project this winter, it’s progressing much faster, ”said actor and co-screenwriter Claude Legault.
“We know exactly how it begins, how it ends. We know our “turning points” in the middle and before the end. We also have a lot of scenes written and we know the whole course of the film; I am able to tell it, but I will not do it”, he said, laughing, anxious not to spill the beans right away.
“We’re going to play in the timeline, which is to say it’s many years later following the end of the second movie where the crew landed on a planet. Time has done its work on them and on the ship. They’ve gotten older, quite a bit older… and we’re going to play on that a bit,” added the screenwriter.
Flavien, Bob, Brad, Pétrolia, Serge (who should be “damaged a couple of times” during the next cinematographic part), Valence and Captain Charles Patenaude will also cross paths with new characters, in the resumption of their mission.

Claude Legault, who plays Flavien Bouchard in the saga, will find his captain Guy Jodoin, this Monday, in Kamouraska, for the episode of The beautiful tour dedicated to Bas-Saint-Laurent.
The actor and his family stopped in the region each summer during his trip to New Brunswick, in his mother’s native village, Pointe-Verte.
“It was fun to find Guy in a friendly context. I miss Guy. Guy is my captain. I love working with him, and when there is a project with him, I go there all the time,” he said.
